Pristine, white beaches stretching from Stockton on the North of the mouth of the Hunter River to Port Stephens.  It's the site of a few shipwrecks, many fishing stories and home to some of Australia's most precious wildlife.

Iconic Newcastle...Nobbys Beach and break wall are a favourite with all Novacastrians.  Have a dip in the ocean or take a long walk out to the lighthouse and beyond. Whether it's a sunny day or crazy storms, this is an amazing area!

The iconic Newcastle Baths, restored in 2009 are a firm favourite for young and old over the Australian Summer.  Boasting a large recreational swimming area and a lap pool, this is a must visit location if you're in Newcastle!

Carved out for the governor by the convicts, the Bogey Hole in Newcastle is now a local favourite!

Nestled between Dixon Park Beach and Shepherd's Hill Reserve lies the ever popular Bar Beach.  The recent construction of the ANZAC Memorial Walk above Bar Beach provides magnificent views to the South over Merewether

Merewether has become a surrogate spiritual home for me.  It has everything you could ever want from a beachside location.  A fantastic beach, a wonderful pool, excellent dining and a great meeting place.  This is my favourite spot in Newcastle!

The secluded Glenrock State reserve, Burwood Beach and Dudley Beach are isolated, hidden gems in Newcastle.

Just South of Newcastle lies the magnificent Redhead beach.  White sand stretches South as far as the eye can see.  The ever present shark tower is a Newcastle icon that has weathered all nature could throw at it.

South of Newcastle lie Belmont, Swansea, Caves Beach and Catherine Hill Bay.  Some of these areas take in both Lake Macquarie and the Ocean.  It's a wonderful area for exploring and discovering new spots!

Peacefully nestled on the shore of Lake Macquarie is the suburb of Warners Bay.  Always worth a visit and a walk along the path to Speers Point...not to mention great dining on the foreshore!

Sydney...If it wasn't for the traffic, this would be the place to live!

Melbourne...Oh how I love thee!  If you like food, coffee, culture and sport  you want to find it in Australia then Melbourne is the place to be.

I wish I had had more time here.  It is breathtaking.  I'll be back for sure!
