Redhead is a secluded beach just South of Newcastle, NSW. It's guarded on the North side by a towering sandstone cliff which overlooks miles of white sand and ocean stretching to the South. The ever present shark tower is an iconic Newcastle landmark.
Nobby's beach and lighthouse would probably be Newcastle's most identifiable icon. They shelter the Mouth of the Hunter river from the South and have guided thousands of coal ships in and out of Newcastle harbour.
Nobby's beach was also the site of the infamous Pasha Bulker beaching in the June storms of 2007.
Newcastle from the air
A rare opportunity to observe my home town from the air. Newcastle is awesome!
